3 Things in the Main LMC #2

We are 204 Initiative
The district’s high school LMC’s are co-sponsoring this new reading imitative. We are asking students and staff to “walk in someone else’s shoes” by reading and discussing one or more of 12 pre-selected books. Students in the books come from a variety of backgrounds and situations. More information on the project blog. If you want an 11 x  17 poster for your room, just reply to this email and let me know.

Chromebook Policies
The LMC is the place to go if your students have technical issues with their Chromebooks or computer accounts. If their device needs to be fixed, we will let them use a loner device. If they forgot to charge their Chromebook or phone, we check out chargers they can use in the LMC during their option period. We have plenty of places to plug in. Unfortunately, we can’t loan out Chromebooks if they forgot their device. We don’t have enough to spare and the district has asked us not to do this .If you have any questions, please email Eric Bodwell or stop by the LMC.

Great Place to Collaborate
Not just for research anymore! Do you need a space for students to spread out and collaborate or to present in small groups? In addition to our LMC Classroom (C118), the main part of the LMC is a flexible space that you can sign up to use for collaborative work or to have small group presentations. We also have a few TV’s on stands and rolling whiteboards and other equipment. Please let me know if you want to try something like this with your class. To sign up for any part of the LMC, email Sue Lein.
